Case Study: “Microsoft Windows OS Ecosystem: Alienating Software Developers by Befriending Agentic AI”

Today, I presented my case study for teaching at WIUT International Case Conference 2026 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The case is designed for use in the classroom and offers opportunities to students to explore how ecosystems in IT operate, are governed or controlled by platform owners and how competition can put stress on relationships between the actors of the ecosystem.
